“It’s the right thing to do” were the words of our Equilibrium leadership team at the outbreak of the pandemic. By May 2020, we had opened the Florence Unit: a stepdown service that gave vulnerable Covid-19 patients a safe place to recover until they were able to return to their home or care setting.
Supporting the NHS.
During the pandemic, the Equilibrium team were chosen to roll out our Infection Prevention Training nationally for the NHS and private sector staff. The Manchester Connect initiative set a standard in elderly care services; assisting frontline workers to cope with the effects of Covid-19 in care settings.
