Oaklands House Nursing Home welcomes the New Year with a new residential dementia care service, extending its adult social care provision.
The arrival of dementia care to Oakland House creates an extra thirteen beds for those with dementia nursing and complex health needs. Thoughtfully designed, the new service will provide specialist care in a supportive, inclusive environment.
To officially launch the new service, Oakland House Nursing Home invites adult social care professionals and commissioners to an open event on 7 January 2025 between 12:00 – 15:00. The event provides an opportunity to view the newly refurbished facilities and meet the teams involved in care delivery.
A snapshot of the new dementia care service includes:
- Specialist dementia care: 24/7 personalised care
- Occupational therapy: daily routines and activities
- Facilities: newly refurbished wet rooms
- Regular ward rounds: weekly reviews keep care plans up to date
- Family centred care: open-door approach, encouraging family involvement
